Why do I need to put down a $400 temporary hold?

The $400 temporary charge on your credit card is to ensure that if the board is damaged or not returned, we will be able to recoup some of the loss. If the board is returned in good condition, the hold will be released. The charge will appear as “pending” in your credit card statement, and will disappear as soon as you return the board. We need to call you to gather your card details before your rental. We’re not able to use the same card info from checkout on this website, because that info isn’t saved, for security purposes.

Can I rent a board for less than 24 hours?

Our reservation system currently only accepts 24-hour rentals, but you can certainly return the board sooner if you need to. Simply call or email us after making a reservation to coordinate a different return time. You will still be charged the full 24-hour rate ($100 per board).

I’ve never ridden a skateboard before. Is it safe for beginners?

We will provide personal hands-on instruction on how to operate the vehicle, get familiar with the remote, and safe riding practices. Take your time to get familiar with the equipment. The Boosted Board has four performance levels to get you started and can be gradually increased as you become more familiar and comfortable with riding an electric longboard.

Where can I ride?

Can I ride at night?

We don’t recommend you ride at night unless you have enough experience and are comfortable controlling an electric skateboard. We include attachable lights with your rental in case you’d like to take the board out at night. It is illegal to ride an electric skateboard at night without proper lighting.
